Motorcycle Medicine?

They say laughter is the best medicine, but it's a fact (of sorts!) that motorcycles are right up there too. This was recently demonstrated when a small bunch of our great members took half a dozen historic bikes to the Anthem Care facility, up Range Road in Mittagong.

Anthem specialises in respite, dementia and aged care services and for some of our members is a special place that has looked after loved ones with deserved care, dignity and respect. And it was from personal experience and interaction with Anthem's staff that the idea of taking old bikes up to brighten-up some residents' day was born.

The sun shone, bikes filled the forecourt and there were smiles all 'round from residents, staff and riders as memories were rekindled, stories swapped and perhaps the odd tall-tale or two all worked their magic.

Thanks (in no special order) to Lance Robertson, Kevin Roberts, Tony Moses, John Pisani, Andrew Buckley and John Ogden for taking the time and making the effort to make this the first of what is hoped will be a regular gathering. Well done you men...

Well done HCEMCC - I loved reading this story and can see how enjoyable this would have been for members as well as Anthem residents. Keep up the great work!
