When you pull up at a set of lights (or anywhere else), always place your left foot slightly forward of your hip (as opposed to right next to you). This will give you far greater stability and prevent you feeling like you are falling over when a breeze blows or anything rocks the bike whilst stationery! Probably one of the most important aspects of riding is to never ride with the wrong attitude.
