Apologies: Paul Hurley, John Ogden, Peter White, Ben Jensen, Steven Crooks.

Meeting Opened: Welcome by Michael Callaghan (President).

Accepted previous meetings minutes: Tony Moses & Mark Clark.

President’s Report: Michael Callaghan: Before we begin, I must apologise for missing the last meeting. Unfortunately, I was held against my will on a tropical island in the middle of the Pacific, sitting on the beach or by the pool getting drinks from Polynesian princesses. It was hard, very hard but I did actually make it through. I’m OK now, lets now open the meeting.

Other business:

Memorial Ride which was mentioned last meeting has been planned for the 14th September, meet at the Werai Farm Club 930am for a 1030am departure. The club will shout everyone a coffee and then head off for the ride which will end at Avon Dam. We will have a sausage sizzle organised upon arrival. Colin Sims to organise food and drink. Mal Campbell Esc has been delegated to assist with the cook up and distribution as agreed in your absence last meeting.

Safety Vests, it is the belief that Mick Lendrum has now received ample supply of vests. The remaining vests still with Tony Moses. Tony wants to donate ten vests to the Mittagong Men’s shed. Vote put the members 25 agree to donate, 1 against. It is said to never speak of vests again. Case closed!

Bulli Antique Motorcycle Show is happening on the 22nd & 23rd August. Remember Mick the representative visited us for a chat about the event. Saturday looks like the best day to attend. The auctions happen this day at 2 or 3pm. Planned ride to happen Saturday 930am for a 10am departure from the clock tower. New date to be added into the calendar.

A Charity Ride will be happening in November in the form of a Poker run. More details to follow.

Christmas Party was discussed last committee meeting. Who has a fondness of kitschy Chinese Restaurants? It has been suggested that we have a sit down lunch at Bundanoon Chinese restaurant which I thought was a brilliant idea. So how does that sound? This is for December, not to be confused with Christmas in July, in April. That will happen again next year again. So Christmases are sorted.

Paul Riley has organised a ride day at One Raceway Goulburn on Friday the 19th September. 10 members have already signed up which will allow Paul to obtain a 10% discount on track day fee. Plenty of room for more riders. A track licence will also need to be purchased at an additional cost of $43. You can get food on site but it is suggested to bring your own food and drink. Riding leathers are required to ride. If you wish to attend, please contact Paul 0455 787354 or paul.james.riley@gmail.com and provide your details so Paul can get in touch with you to organise pre-payment. Set your tyre pressure to 30psi when riding on the track.

Treasurer’s Report: Richard Robertson

A very quiet month. Zero expenditure. Interest earnt $4.84. Thinking about our windfall I thought how long would it take to buy a clubhouse? If we made $2 million for a clubhouse and earned $4 and we saved $3 a month on average in interest and earned 3% interest, and that earned 3% compounding interest. I pumped that into Chat GPT and it would take over 500 years to save $2 million. The next thing is values would also go up so the cost of a clubhouse in 500 years would cost over $56 Trillion. Sorry to report we won’t be buying a clubhouse anytime soon. At the end of the day, we have $7610.28 in the bank.

Account Balances:

Old working account: $0.00

New working/ rescue account: $7218.92

Spending account: $391.36

Total cash on hand: $7610.28

Webmaster reportRichard Robertson

Web site is ticking along. If you have looks lately, you will notice the new ticker at the top because the original ticker turned out to be free only for a period of time and then they want to charge $5 a month. So because we are a club of limited means I have set up a new one which has advertising in it to tell us who is providing it. So that is now sorted. I am between houses at the moment. 15 days till we move in into our new house. We have been living in hotels and we’re off to Melbourne tomorrow morning for a 10 day round trip. When I get back and settled in, there will be new pages for the historic bike information to make clearer. Rob Hannah and I have talked about putting up more information about rides and things so you will see some changes. My other half has made a suggestion to put a dad joke on the ticker to make it more interesting and to get more of you to come and have a look. Other than that business as usual.
