Club Minutes – November 2024

Meeting opened 7pm by President.

Presidents report:  Report on Scmokin’, with the zoning issue being resolved in Schmokin’s favour.


$950.50 brain foundation, money directly to research into aneurism.


We will hold a charity ride every year


Christmas ride and breakfast. This coming Sunday December 1 at 9.30 at Scmokin’ Berrima.  Followed by a short ride.

Rescue acc: $2488.10


Secretaries report:  Any relevant material forwarded via email.


Australian Historic road racing 14-17th. November.

Mik and Kevin provided information, marshalls still needed for Thursday, briefing at 8.15, morning tea and lunch provided.


Membership report: Rob absent, presented by Paul. 154 members no new applications


Neil Toovey won a prize for his Paso at the Machine Show.


Neil spoke about the Machine Show, lot of nice bikes and great weather with several club members present.


Business arising:


John Diaz:  re defib.  2 year membership $599 machine replaced free of charge if it fails.  Renewable every 2 years.  Discussion regarding how to organise distribution of the defib. 

Unanimous vote to purchase.


Neil’s Tiger broke down. 


Upcoming events:


Sunday ride to One Raceway. 


Dirt bike ride postponed to next Tuesday


Cars and coffee and Southern Highlands Imperial Tour and Thursday rides as usual.


Moss Vale Swap meet 30/11 and 1/12. At Moss vale Showground, cars and bikes.


Ride reports:


Grabben Cullen: 13 riders, excellent day, great ride.


Sunday coffee ride well attended to KV


Rod Broadhead went on his inaugural Flight of the Valkyrie ride.  A trip through Victoria including the Great Ocean Road. 2000 km over 2 weeks.  A terrific ride.


Colin and Juan made a trip to the Barrington Tops to complete the 20 creek crossing challenge.  It was challenging and exciting trip. Some other riders came to grief on the same trip. Gloucester, Nundle, Wingham is a stunning ride the club should organise to complete.
