Meeting opened at 1705

Attendance:

               Michael Callaghan (President)

               Paul Roodenrys (Vice President)

               Joey Fishburn (Treasurer)

               Paul Riley (Secretary)

Rob Hanna (Membership)

Andrew Buckley

Mal Campbell

Discussion points:

1.       Christmas Party- no partners? As discussed at previous meeting, partners would not be paid for, non-members and partners will pay for themselves.

2.       The way the raffle is organised will now mean people can purchase tickets prior to the meeting, inside the club, or during the first ten minutes in the meeting room- prior to commencement of the meeting.

3.       Mal reported Repco are on board with providing donations for the raffle, as is the Argyle Hotel providing bottles of wine.

4.       The Memorial Ride will be on September 13th, 2026. This will be the same as last year from Farm Club to Nepean Dam for a BarBQ.

5.       Coffee rides will now have a ‘Brand theme’. So, for a particular ride, Honda bikes (for example) will have an opportunity to receive a prize, but this will not mean they are the only brand able to enter the ride on any day. Unfortunately, it may be some time before a ‘Ural’ ride eventuates!

6.       Sunday ride this month (16th August) will be to Tuena. This is a 2-hour ride from the highlands and lunch at either the newly opened hotel or the Tuena Coffee Stop Café run by the ladies auxiliary.

7.       Report on First Aid kits is a cost of approximately $70 per kit. This will likely be a little less than this if we use one company to supply everything. To be investigated by Paul Riley. Club will pay a 50% subsidy for kits purchased.

8.       Prices on Defib units will be investigated by Mal Campbell and Paul Riley.

9.       The October ride (16th-18th October) will be to Orbost first night, staying at Orbost Country Road Motor Inn, second night at Mountain View Motel in Corryong. Route for return journey will be decided on the day as there are several options.

10.  Joe Irvine had asked for membership details as he hadn’t heard from anyone. This has now been corrected and Joe is a member.

11.  A ‘Motorcycling Tips’ section will be added to the Facebook page. Different tips and tricks will be added to provide info for club members and others.

Meeting closed at 1810
