Discussion points:
1. Christmas Party- no partners? As discussed at previous meeting, partners would not be paid for, non-members and partners will pay for themselves. This point appears to be requiring clarification as some are confused as to whether club members voted for no partners at all. This will be put to the meeting on 14th September.
2. The Memorial Ride will be on September 13th, 2026. This will be the same as last year from Farm Club, at 9:00AM to Nepean Dam for 11:00AM, for a BarBQ. 40kg of sausages will be purchased, and soft drinks.
3. ‘Brand theme’ for the next ride will be BMW. Prize on the day will be a cake and coffee f.o.c, for the best BMW.
4. We have found what seems like a suitable defibrillator- The Smarty Saver SM2, from First Aid kits Australia is $1345 and would be suitable to carry on a bike.
5. Also, we can purchase bumbag kits and add a few items which will give us a suitable kit for anyone. These are only $25.95 plus a little extra for our requirements. Meeting to decide on number of kits.
6. The October ride (16th-18th October) will be to Orbost first night, staying at Orbost Country Road Motor Inn, second night at Mountain View Motel in Corryong. Route for return journey will be decided on the day as there are several options.
7. The topic of T Shirts came up, and it was decided to investigate at the next meeting if club members were interested in getting a run produced. These would have screen printed logos on the front only. Phresh Prints in Wollongong to be contacted for a rough price.
8. Bikes for sale can be managed on our website and adding a page onto Facebook would require a fair bit of maintenance and it would sit amongst over 50 existing pages which have thousands of members. Our website recently received almost 500 views in a month, but the site is available to members only.
9. It was requested the club could participate in a charity event to raise money for the Lydia’s Legacy Southern Highlands Homelessness Incorporated charity. This would likely be a car and bike show with prize give aways. More details from Paul Riley as the idea grows.
