Thanks everyone who backed up to the meeting on Monday after Sunday’s lunch.

Pretty quick meeting but covered a number of points:

1) Liability insurance has been sorted, insured with Marsh insurance to the tune of $20million paid $1053-82 on 13/11/25. Copy of certificate of currency and invoice available if you ever need to see it

2) We have paid the barrister, Talitha Fishburn very generously charged us only $1100 despite a considerable amount of effort put in, she spent hours and hours on the job and put up with all my needy emails. Many thanks to Joe Fishburn for volunteering his sister for the job.

3) Christmas party yesterday. Good time was had by all. The venue was really good, once the curtains were open the room was bright and airy and not at all like a dungeon as some had feared. Thanks to Colin Sims who came up with the idea and made the booking and did most of the work, I just turned up at the end and told the caterers what we wanted and paid the bill. However since Colin wasn’t at the meeting Monday night I took all the credit. Except anything you didn’t like, that was Colin’s fault. Total cost was only $2115.00, less $470 paid in deposits

4) As mentioned on Facebook in October I’m looking to do a three day ride to the Snowy Mountains Friday Feb 20 to Sunday Feb 22. First day freeway to Gundagai, then Tumut, Tumbarumba, side trip to Cabramurra, then Corryong , 494 km. Day 2 Alpine way to Jindabyne, across to Bombala then either Mt Darrugh Road to Pambula or Imlay Road to Eden depending on time and enthusiasm, then up the coast to Cobargo Hotel, 420 or 480km. Day 3 Princes Highway to Batemans Bay, up to Braidwood for a doughnut then Braidwood road , past the GP memorial and home, 330km. I’ll ring the hotels tomorrow and see if we can get a deal, I’ll send out details soon. For those wanting a shorter ride I’m thinking of organising an overnighter to Bathurst or Rylstone on the weekend of 18th and 19th April, will be about 300km to 350km each day.

5) No club meeting in January but can turn up for drinks 12 Jan at 7pm as usual

6) Lunch ride for this month has been bought forward a week to this Sunday, 9:30 for 10:00 am departure at the clock in Moss Vale, bound for Crookwell for lunch. Watch the calender for other rides, there may be some cancelled or postponed

If I don’t see you in the next couple of weeks have a great Chrissy and I’ll see you in the New Year.

Till Then Ride Well
