President’s Report - May 2025

Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting  last night, there wasn’t a lot to get through but the major points were as follows.

Our first aid course is booked for Sunday 15th June starting at 10am. Cost to members will be $45 including lunch with the club picking up the rest of the cost. This course will be run by the same company as the one a couple of years ago, and that one was entertaining and really worthwhile. There are still lots of places available, please let me know if you want to attend and I’ll add you to the list.

A couple of years ago we voted to put aside $3000 for use as a rescue fund to pick up stranded riders. That fund has dropped down to $2200. The last couple of years we have only spent about $600 a year so the motion was put to the meeting to not top up that account till it drops under $1000, that way there will be more money free to spend on fun stuff like Christmas in July in April, and a couple of other similar events for the members the committee are planning. The motion was passed unanimously.  

As for the vests, Tony Moses still has them as the SHIT ride was wet, those of you that know “Sunshine” Moses will have figured that means he wasn’t at the ride. Mick Lendrum has indicated that he only needs one vest but they are a job lot so he will soon be in possession of several hundred of the vests.  Stay tuned for more of this saga.

Overnight ride to Boorowa leaving Shell Sally’s Corner at 8:30 on Saturday, those wanting just a morning ride are welcome to tag along to Crookwell or further. There may still be places at the Boorowa Hotel (02 63853000)if you want to come.

Lunch ride this Sunday to Greenwell Point leaving 10:30 am from the clock in Moss ValeThe Thursday rides are on 22th May and 5 June starting at 9:30 at Bradman oval

Mick Lendrums SHIT ride is on Wednesday 28th April leaving Bradman oval 9:30 (look for the vests)

Cars and coffee is as always last Sunday of the month

Coffee ride Sunday 1 June leaving the clock in Moss Vale at 9:45 destination Tallong

Next Club meeting is on Monday 9 June, till then ride well
